My name is Eve Robillard

(or Miss Eve)

I live in Madison, WI in a cozy little studio apartment (or atelier, if you want to sound fancy) and I write for both children and adults.

Here I am reading some of my poetry at a local bookstore.

Let's see...

 

ABC + 123 x umpteen cats & hats...

+ countless hungry caterpillars...

x 17 1/2 years as a children's librarian...

 

= 2,345 storytimes!

I've had at least as much fun as the children.

...And I hope I've learned something, too.

Nowadays, I mostly stay home and work on yet

another poem or children's story.

...And I do watercolors, too.

 

I like to paint faces. One day, I said to myself,

"Well, Eve--if you like to paint faces so much,

why don't you try illustrating your very own

ABC Book?

With twenty-six faces -- women & girls

& maybe a boy or two?"

 

So that's what I'm doing now.

I call it ABC EARRINGS

 

It's a WIP, which means,

"Gosh, I hope I get done with this already,
